Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before heading out to sea with Natou Excursions or taking off with WanakAéro.

Booking and paymentBefore you goBoat tripsUltralight flightsCancellation, date changes and weather

Booking and payment

Bookings close before the chosen date, with a deadline specific to each activity: - Natou Excursions: until 6:00 PM (Martinique time) the day before the chosen date. - WanakAéro: no later than two days before the chosen date. After that deadline, the time slot disappears from the booking calendar. It isn't red tape: it's the time it takes to plan the menu, get the boat ready and schedule the flight rotations. Your seats are held for 30 minutes while you pay, then released automatically if the payment doesn't go through. A booking made in the last 24 hours before departure is not refundable if you cancel it yourself, and you are told so before you pay. If a date shows as full or already closed, call us rather than giving up: a cancellation sometimes frees up a seat, and the phone is the only way to find out.

Payment is made online by card (CB, Visa, Mastercard) as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay, through Stripe's secure platform. Full payment is required when you book: no deposit, and no balance to pay on site on the day. Your booking is confirmed only once the payment has gone through. Until then, the seats stay held for 30 minutes and then go back on sale: it's better to start a booking over than to leave a payment pending. For a booking made by phone, we agree with you on how to pay: most often a secure payment link sent by email, valid for 24 hours. An invoice can be issued after payment, for a business trip or a works council (CSE): email us your booking number and the company name to put on it.

Yes. Payments go through Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider used by millions of websites. You are redirected to a payment page hosted by Stripe: your card details travel encrypted, never pass through our servers and are never stored on our side. CB, Visa and Mastercard cards are accepted, with your bank's 3-D Secure strong authentication when it requires it. We keep only what we need to follow up on your booking: name, contact details, amount and transaction reference. A confirmation email goes out right after payment, with a summary of your trip, the meeting point and the time. If it hasn't arrived within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then contact us: we can verify the payment on our side and resend the confirmation on request.

Yes. The price shown is net, in euros, with no VAT (not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code), and no booking or service fee is added at checkout. The total is summarized before you confirm: that is the amount charged. For a boat trip, it includes the guided cruise, the swim stops, the Creole aperitif and, on the full day, lunch. For a flight, it includes the briefing, the flight, the instructor pilot, the headset and the debriefing. The type of flight you choose, discovery flight, first flight or intro flying lesson, makes no difference to the price. Two things are not included: the extras you add to your booking yourself, such as the lobster platter, charged per person and shown before payment; and snorkeling gear, mask and snorkel, which each participant brings.

A confirmation email goes out right after payment. It contains your booking number, a summary of the trip, the meeting point, the time and a link to add the date to your calendar: Google Calendar, or an .ics file for Apple Calendar and Outlook. That link stays valid until the day of the trip and always reflects the actual state of your booking: if the date is moved, the calendar entry you get from that same link shows the new date, with nothing to do on your side. The day before, an automatic reminder reaches you with the same practical information. We call you or message you on WhatsApp only if the weather forces a change of date. For an ultralight flight, WanakAéro also contacts you to agree on the exact takeoff time. Nothing received? Check your spam folder, then contact us with your name and the date you booked.

Before you go

Bring sunscreen (biodegradable if possible, to protect the coral), a hat or cap, sunglasses, a towel, a swimsuit and your snorkeling gear: masks and snorkels are not provided on board. Sandals or flip-flops are enough, plus a dry bag if you bring a phone or a camera. The boat provides life jackets in every size, a sun roof, seating, a storage chest and a cooler: your things stay dry and in the shade while under way. Cold drinks and the Creole aperitif are included in every option, plus lunch on the full day. No need to pack a picnic. Just let us know about any allergies or dietary needs when you book.

It depends on your activity: the two leave from different sites. - Boat trips with Natou Excursions, on the Atlantic coast, the starting point of every trip in the Baie du Robert (Robert Bay): Le Robert dock, Rue de l'Appontement, 97231 Le Robert, Martinique. - Ultralight flights with WanakAéro: Airport, Zone Aviation Générale, 97232 Le Lamentin, Martinique. Parking is available near each meeting point. Arrive 15 minutes before the departure time shown on your confirmation: the safety briefing starts on time and being late can cost you your seat, since neither the boat nor the aircraft can wait. AGEM Excursions sends you the exact GPS coordinates, a map link and detailed directions in the booking confirmation email. The Contact page lists both addresses at any time, with the phone number and WhatsApp of each activity if you need directions on site on the day.

Yes, unless you tell us otherwise when you book: by booking, you state that you can swim and are fit enough to take part. The swim stops and the snorkeling happen in open water, out of your depth. An average swimmer doesn't have to give up, though. Life jackets in every size are provided on board, the boat complies with current maritime safety standards and the captain holds the required certifications. Nobody has to get in the water either: staying on board during a stop is a common choice, and nobody comments on it. People with reduced mobility are asked to contact us before booking: boarding is from a dock and assistance has to be planned, it can't be improvised on the day. The ultralight flight, for its part, is not suitable for people with disabilities.

Yes, boat trips are open to all ages: children, babies and adults are all welcome. The pace suits the youngest, with short stretches at sea between stops, and life jackets are available in every size. Pricing has three brackets: babies from 0 to 2 years old come along for €10 per baby, children from 3 to 11 get the child rate, and the adult rate applies from age 12. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the whole trip. The ultralight flight follows other rules: minimum age 7, subject to safety conditions, with written parental consent for minors. The passenger's height and weight also decide whether the flight is possible. If in doubt, feel free to call us before booking.

Yes. Mention your allergies and dietary needs (vegetarian, gluten-free, halal, no pork, no seafood…) in the field provided when you book, or by message right after: the menu is prepared that same morning, so the earlier we know, the easier it is to adapt. AGEM Excursions passes the request on to the crew and is happy to adapt the menu. Creole cooking lends itself to it naturally: grilled fish, rice, local vegetables, raw vegetables and fresh fruit already make up most of the lunch served on the islet. The included Creole aperitif (ti-punch, planter's punch, fruit juice, salt cod accras or pastries) also comes with alcohol-free alternatives. For a severe allergy, call us before booking rather than relying on the form field: it's better to check together what can be done in a boat's galley, where dishes are served side by side, than to find out on the day.

Boat trips

The half day runs in two time slots: the morning from 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM, and the afternoon from 1:00 PM to 4:45 PM. The full day leaves at 8:45 AM and returns to the dock around 3:45 PM. The private charter follows the same time slots depending on the option chosen, half day or full day. You choose your time slot when you book, from those still available. The options combine on the same date: full-day passengers stay on board while others board for the half day. The only limit is the number of seats left on each half day. The private charter is the exception: it books the whole boat, so its time slot must still be completely free. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before departure for the welcome and the safety briefing, which you must attend to board. Return times are approximate and can vary by a few minutes with the weather, the sea and the group's pace: avoid booking a tight appointment right after you are back at the dock.

The boat takes up to 9 passengers on regular trips (full day and half day) and up to 7 passengers on a private charter, which leaves more room on board for a group traveling together. Small groups are a deliberate choice, not a constraint: they make for a personal experience, explanations everyone can hear and swim stops without waiting, far from mass tourism and the big boats that land forty people on the same islet. These capacities are the ones actually on sale: the booking form only shows the seats left on the chosen time slot, updated with every confirmed booking. So there's no need to call to check availability, the screen is the reference. For a group larger than the boat can take at once, contact us: several departures can sometimes be arranged.

Ultralight flights

One passenger per flight. All flights with WanakAéro are in a two-seat ultralight: an instructor pilot and one passenger, side by side, with a headset and intercom to talk throughout the flight. Three options are offered depending on length: Wanakè 30', Wanakè 45' and Wanakè 60'. For each one, you choose the type of flight, with no effect on the price: discovery flight, where you simply enjoy the view; first flight, for your very first time in the air; or intro flying lesson, where you fly the aircraft with dual controls, guided by the instructor. To fly as a group, the flights follow one another: each participant takes off in turn, right after the previous one, and the others wait on the ground between rotations. Contact us to arrange a time slot for two or three people, and to ask about touring options for private individuals.

For safety reasons and the aircraft's balance, the ultralight flight has strict requirements: - minimum age 7, - maximum height 195 cm, - maximum weight 95 kg. A valid ID is mandatory, and written parental consent is required for minors. The passenger's weight and height directly affect the aircraft's balance: they are checked before the flight and decide whether it can go ahead. Wear closed shoes, a light windbreaker and sunglasses; avoid scarves and loose items, which are not allowed in the cockpit. A camera is welcome as long as it's secured with a wrist strap. The activity remains subject to the day's weather and is not suitable for people with disabilities. If you're unsure about your situation (build, nerves, ongoing medical treatment), call us before booking rather than after: better to check together that the flight is possible than to find out at the airfield.

You book a date, not a precise time. The exact takeoff time is agreed with WanakAéro after booking, by phone or WhatsApp: it depends on the day's weather, the cloud ceiling and the order of the flights, which is decided as close to the date as possible. That is why the calendar entry attached to your confirmation covers the whole day rather than a time slot, and why cancellation deadlines are counted from midnight (Martinique time) at the start of the booked date. So keep your half day free and avoid booking an appointment right after. Allow about 45 minutes on site for a 30-minute flight, an hour for a 45-minute flight and 1 hour 15 minutes for an hour: the safety briefing and the debriefing are part of the experience and aren't cut short.

Cancellation, date changes and weather

Safety comes first. If the weather doesn't allow sailing or flying safely, the trip is canceled and you choose freely between a free change of date to the day of your choice and a full refund. Nothing is withheld: the cancellation schedule only applies to cancellations you make yourself. AGEM Excursions checks the conditions that same morning (sea state and wind for boat trips, cloud ceiling and visibility for the ultralight) and then contacts you by phone or WhatsApp at the number given when you booked. A passing shower, frequent and brief in Martinique, is no reason to cancel: the boat has a sun roof and the program is simply rearranged during the day. The new date is yours to choose, among the time slots still open for booking, with no fee or price difference to pay.

Yes. Cancellation is free and fully refunded up to 48 hours before departure. Between 48 and 24 hours, 50% of the amount is withheld. Less than 24 hours before departure, or if you don't show up at the meeting point, the full amount is due. Date changes are free up to 48 hours before the original date, subject to availability on the time slot you want: contact us as early as possible by phone, WhatsApp or email, with your booking number. Moving a date is always better than canceling, for you and for us. This schedule only applies to cancellations you make yourself. A trip canceled because of the weather or on our side always entitles you to a free change of date or a full refund. The full details are in our terms of sale. Any refund goes back to the payment method used for the booking, within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.
