Wanakè 60'
60-minute ultralight flight in Martinique
60 minutes of aerial thrills in an ultralight
Overview
The Wanakè 60' is the grand tour of the Atlantic coast. A full hour in an ultralight alongside an instructor pilot: the central islets, then the coast running north with its forest-covered hills. Discovery flight, first flight or intro flying lesson: the most immersive way to experience Martinique from the sky. The full experience lasts about 75 minutes, briefing and debriefing included.
Same price for all three: you pick one when you book.
The route
The only option that heads north: after the central islets, the flight follows the Atlantic coast over the widest stretch a single flight allows. The route is set at the briefing, depending on the wind and the clouds.
What you will see
The island changes beneath the aircraft, from the low islets and pale sand of the center to the forest-covered hills of the north. On a clear day, the montagne Pelée (Mount Pelée) and the pitons du Carbet (Carbet peaks) close off the horizon.
The weather and your flight
The north is the rainiest part of the island and its peaks often cloud over during the day: morning is the best time. The time is arranged with the pilot after booking.
